Mark & Jessica Hagen
Founders of Headwaters Discipleship & The Wild Goose Collective
Mark and Jes are passionate Christ followers, believing that the measuring stick of all we do should be how much love is produced. They are the creators and collaborators based out of The Harbour at Riondel and have a passion to see young adults encounter the love of Jesus through creativity, community and creation. If they aren’t found painting, making music, or hosting people around their kitchen table; they can be found out on an adventure on this beautiful property with their three kids (Weston, Brody, and Anika) and their dog Thora. They are eager to share this space, and their hearts, with the people they encounter.
Mark and Jes serve as missionaries and raise a portion of their financial support to continue their work with The Harbour and Headwaters.
Christian and Molly Hoff are part of the leadership team at The Harbour, serving with our Headwaters Discipleship program and at Ro Neighbourhood Coffee.
Before moving to the Kootenays, they spent time living in Christian’s hometown of San Pedro, California, where Christian was studying toward a career in Special Education. During that season Molly enjoyed experimenting in the kitchen and volunteering with children and youth at Trinity San Pedro. Together they loved exploring local restaurants and coffee shops, spending time with Christian’s family and their young adult community, and taking weekend trips to see more of California.
At The Harbour, Christian and Molly are involved in a variety of areas within Headwaters. Some of their key roles include the outdoor program, cooking, leading worship, and contributing to the richness of community life that is central to the school.
They also manage Ro Neighbourhood Coffee, where they enjoy creating a welcoming space for locals, visitors, and students to gather and connect.
Christian and Molly serve as missionaries and raise a portion of their financial support to continue their work with The Harbour and Headwaters.

Ayal Heinrichs
Ayal is a potter who is passionate about creating objects that bring beauty and sacredness into the ordinary moments of daily life. Clay is a wonderful material with endless potential for discovery, growth, and transformation. For Ayal, the act of creating with clay has become a form of worship as she becomes more aware of the relationship between how she forms clay and how God is forming her heart.
She loves sharing this passion with students as they learn to encounter God through the challenging and rewarding process of working with clay.
Ayal is an alumni of Headwaters Discipleship program and now serves as part of the team at The Harbour. She teaches pottery as one of our creativity classes and invests in the lives of students in a variety of ways throughout the program.
Ayal serves as a missionary and raises a portion of her financial support to continue their work with The Harbour and Headwaters.
